D J Glazing Ltd is a well-established, local, family run business that prides itself on providing its’ customers with a first class service. Our ethos is small is better, believing this provides you with a more tailored bespoke service. To achieve this, we insist on certain standards.
We don’t subcontract out our installations but employ fully qualified, courteous staff. Which means we stay in control of your job from start to finish, enabling us to ensure your project runs smoothly. We spend a lot of time evaluating our products and, taking quality and price into consideration, we believe them to be the best on the market. In turn we think this provides you with the reassurance that your windows, doors or conservatory will be safe, secure, reliable and long-lasting.
By keeping our sales area local we are able to provide an after-care sales service in the rare event you need it. We also provide 10-year guarantees on installations and an insurance-backed guarantee for your added peace of mind. As well as being WHICH and FENSA endorsed installers’ on the last line please.

We would like to get a written quotation. What do we do?
Contact us and our Director, Justin Dixon, will make an appointment to visit your premises.
Why do we need a site visit, & how long will it take?
Our sales advisor will talk you through your requirements and take initial measurements for pricing purposes. On average this visit lasts 30 minutes.
Is there a charge for a quotation?
No, this service is offered completely free of charge.
How will I get my quotation?
A written quotation will be posted to you following our site visit. This allows you to consider our offer without any pressure.
Do you require a deposit?
We ask for a 50% deposit at the time of acceptance with the balance due on completion.
Do you use sub-contract installers?
No. We use only our own experienced fully employed fitters with many years service in the industry.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, all our products and workmanship are fully guaranteed. All our doors, windows etc along with their sealed units carry a full 10 year guarantee whilst their hardware (ie. locks, handles etc.) include a manufacturers 12 month warranty. Replacement sealed units into existing frames get a 5 year guarantee.
How long has DJ Glazing been established?
Having been established in Kendal in 1990 as a local family-run business, 2025 will be our 35th anniversary year.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the South Lakes.
Do you install products other than uPVC?
As well as white, wood-grained and coloured foiled upvc frames, we also install a full range of replacement frames in both timber & aluminium.
Do you replace failed misted up sealed units?
Yes, because you do not always need new replacement frames.
Are DJ Glazing FENSA registered?
Yes, DJ Glazing is a FENSA registered company. This allows us to certify through FENSA that your installation meets the current building regulation standards. Between 4-6 weeks after your installation, FENSA will send you a certificate of compliance to confirm this, which may be useful if you come to sell your property.

What if I live in a restricted or conservation area?
Local district councils place certain restrictions on home improvements within certain areas in order to retain appearance and character. If any restrictions apply to the area where you live, you will need to contact your local planning authority for approval.
